Eater, cook, foodie, father, husband, black lab owner, photographer, and a lover of life. My forum to share my cooking, wine drinking, and eating experiences.

I have spent many years traveling for photography, but I have always included my love for cooking and food. I am half-Vietnamese and I grew up with many different food memories. Along with my wife, Karen, who is American, but with Mexican and El Salvadoran heritage we eat a wide variety of food and our daughter joins us all of the time.

This blog and commentary will focus on the positive experiences around eating, cooking, and drinking. During my travels I enjoyed the spirit of eating for pleasure and using that time to spend with friends and family. I started this writing experience when I realized my daughter liked to cook with me, and it brought back so many cooking memories that I wanted to remember.

I cannot wait to share these positive experiences from the past, the present, and the future with you.

Thank you!

  1. Thanks so much for your wonderful review of our wine. I am the assistant winemaker for Gramercy Cellars. Both me and our winemaker, Greg Harrington, really appreciate what you do. We noticed that you said you only had one bottle of our syrah in your cellar. We would like to send you another bottle so you could enjoy this wine again. If you would like you could email me the best shipping address for you and I would be happy to send you a bottle or you could call me at 206-553-9177.

  2. Hello ,
I am writing to you because I was impressed by the dedication shown on your blog to being an involved dad. At the company I work for, WonderDads, we think dads like you are heroes. We are a leading publisher of dad/child books and a media company expressly designed to help dads engage with their children and families.

On our website, we have a growing collection of child related blogs; we’d like to include you as a featured guest dad blogger. In addition, we’re planning to publish a book inspired by the idea of “101 Lesson from Dad Bloggers”. Should you participate, your blog would be featured in the new book!

We’re very excited by the chance to give hero dads like you the opportunity to show the world that the stereotypical portrayal of dads as bumbling fools is as outdated as it is inaccurate. If you’re interested in contributing, please send me an e-mail, and I’ll give you further details.
